We start out by removing the gaskets and stickers, then we hot tank the 2 air cleaner pieces to remove all the crud and most of the paint. Then, we sand blast the pieces to remove the rest of the paint. The next step is to treat any rust on the air cleaner housing pieces with chemicals to neutralize it. Then it's off to the powder coaters where they go to great lengths to make sure that the pieces are clean and sterile then they shoot the pieces and then bake it at high temp. If you want a special order powder color including metallic powder coating colors on your air cleaner then there is a 45.00 surcharge, and if you want it clear coated that costs an extra 15.00. If you want a metallic paint then it's mandatory to have it clear coated. Powder clear coating makes the product shine more and it also makes it more durable. We can also do custom air brush work of just about anything you prefer on these air cleaners for an additional fee. Prices vary on the designs that you want. He is able to copy some pictures as well.
