| This fitting is a coolant system fitting. It screws into the intake manifold, 1 on the front end and 1 on the back end. A hose fits over the end of either of these fittings. The front fitting is for the hose that goes to the t-stat housing and the rear one is for the hose that goes to the tube that runs around the back of the head. This fitting is also used on the thermastat housing itself for the hose that connects it to the intake manifold. All total this fitting is used 3 times on all 70-72 240's. It will not fit the 73-74 t-stat housings, they use a bigger hole in the t-stat housing. Last update 01/10 |
