| This 18 piece kit includes all 6 main bearings, the roller bearing for the reverse idler, 4 syncro rings, front and rear shaft seals, the front cover gasket, both shaft stake nuts, the speedo pinion o-ring, and the speedo pinion seal. It does not include the 5th gear syncro, you must order that separately if you think you need it. Be sure to check the condition of your clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bushing, and rear engine seal while you have your transmission out. This kit is for the non turbo transmission only. It will not fit the Borg Warner transmissions. The 80-83 5 speed transmission is easily identified. It has a reverse lockout so you can't hit the reverse gear when downshifting from 5th gear to 4th gear. That unit is located on the side of the tail shaft housing and it is an oval shaped piece of metal about 2 inches long and it's held in by 2-10mm headed bolts. The outside of the tail shaft housing is a smooth aluminum finish. We will be adding pics of the different transmissions to our website soon.
