| This listing is for our dash light/ tail light relay kit for all z's from 74-76.This relay kit is too simple to install. It fits under the steering column and plugs right into the cars wiring harness. Then you take the other leads and run them to the battery directly for power. It takes all the high current draw away from the headlight switch and fuse block so that you won't overload that circuit anymore. A very simple solution to an age old problem in all the first gen z's. The dash and tail lights will also be brighter once you install this kit because just like the headlight circuit there is about a 3 volt drop in voltage from the battery to the lights. We also recommend bypassing the dash light rheostat that is towards the bottom of the dash on the left side. It's very easy to bypass, simply unplug the plug in, and build a jumper lead in place of the switch, then tuck the bypass up under your dash. Your lights will be slightly brighter and you'll never have to worry about the rheostat causing your dash lights to flicker or fail ever again. If you would like us to build you a jumper lead for your z, just let us know when you order one of these relay kits and we'll be happy to make one for you, for a very small fee. We also sell a hotter light bulb for the dash lights that you can safely use but ONLY AFTER installing a relay kit. Then you can actually see your dash light up properly at night.
