| We now sell the B pillar VIN tags for the 240's from 70-72. That is the tag that is located on the left door pillar, right above the striker plate for the door latch. These tags look exactly like the originals. The screening process is done very meticulously and the ink used is of the highest quality control so it should last for many, many years. Every year of z has 2 possibilities for the production date. For example a 1970 z can have a production date of 10/69 or a pro date of 3/70 just to name a couple. Be advised that there is no such thing as a 1969 240 z in the US. It may have a pro date in 69, but the car is actually a 1970. We need to know the year of your production date before we order the tag. When you place your order, be sure to put your production date in the comment section of the order form. That date is located on the top left corner of the vin tag. The new tag you receive will have the year screened in as well as the prefix of the serial number. It will be up to you to take the tag to a trophy engraver company and have them stamp in the suffix of the vehicle identification code as well as the month of the production date. The 1971 and 1973 model year VIN tags aren't available at this time. If you'd like a tag for one of those model years then send us an e-mail request. If we get enough requests then we'll talk to the manufacturer about making a fresh run for those years. The engine ID tag is available for either of those years. All of the underhood decals are now being reproduced for us as well as the engine ID tag or plate. If you want to order an engine ID tag and/or other decals at the same time that you order the B pillar tag, we can lower the price of those items after the first tag because that includes an incoming freight charge. You'll only be charged one incoming freight charge per shipment, regardless of whether it's 1 or 20 pieces or anywhere inbetween. These are a special order only item.
