| We always recommend replacing the stake nut when you rebuild your transmission. There is one on the mainshaft and one on the countershaft. (see listing) The 80-83 transmission uses a left hand threaded nut on the main shaft, all 5 speeds use the same counter shaft nut. The 80-83 non turbo transmissions use a reverse lockout. This unit is located on the tail shaft housing, it's an oval metal plate about 2 inches long and it's held down by a pair of 10mm headed bolts. Last update 07/11 |
