| The posted price is for one shThese cars also need 2 urethane bump stops. The original ones are usually gone by now and a lot of people don't even realize that these cars need them. Also fits 74.5 260 Z with the large bumpers. The production dates for that model are from 10/74 to 12/74.ock, uses 2 per car. These models use a rubber accordian boot on the struts to protect the shock. If you're boots are torn then now is the time to replace them. Check that listing or else call or e-mail us for pricing. KYB shocks carry a lifetime warrantee and are a quality replacement item. We use either KYB or Tokico shocks in all of our applications for the z's and zx's. Once you install these shocks you should never have to replace them again. We've been using both of these brands since 1990 and warrantee's are extremely rare. When you buy these shocks from us they will come with key installation procedures to insure that you're doing the job correctly. When doing a shock job on the back of any first gen z car, you should never try to remove the rear spindle pin. That is the pivot point between the rear strut and the lower control arm. It requires special tools to pull that pin, it almost never pulls out easily. If you want to remove the strut assembly in the back of the car, then remove the strut assembly with the lower control arm still attached to it. It will save you a lot of headaches. Many have tried and most have failed to pull the pin without destroying it. Many more have tried and failed and never even got the pin to move. Looks are deceiving in this case so beware. When buying these kits we'll also provide you with critical installation information that the majority of vendors don't even know about much less provide it to you. You can save money by ordering a set of 4 shocks for your z. We get a better deal when we buy them that way and pass the savings onto you.. We have heard from some sources that the KYB shocks can't be used with lowering springs and we're here to say that it's just another Z wives tale. They will work just fine with all 4 brands of lowering springs that we sell. Last update 06/09 |
