| These high performance shifter bushings are a Z Specialties exclusive. This listing is for a kit which includes a pair of bushings. We have them custom made of aircraft quality aluminum, to our specifications. They fit the stock 70-71 z's, Datsun roadsters, PL510's, 520, 521, and 620 pickups up to 74. The early shift bushings were made out of rubber and it doesn't take long for them to start deteriorating. Once that starts happening, they will definently get progressively worse. It gets so bad that it's hard to tell what gear your shifting into. Install our aluminum shift bushings correctly and you'll never have to install another set of shift bushings into your car or truck ever again. You MUST use the proper sized washers for these bushings to fit properly The washer on top has a 13mm or 1/2" ID x 3mm thick, and the 1 on the bottom is 8mm ID. Test fit before installing, making sure that with both washers and both bushings installed on the shaft leaves only threads exposed, completely hiding the shoulder. When you tighten the nut down it must cinch down the bushings and not bottom out on the shaft. If it does bottom out on the shaft then there will be slop in the shaft.
