| This listing is for an Xlerator turbo muffler with 2 1/4" pipes. One pipe is centered and the other is offset as you can see in the picture. These are a striaght through muffler known as a turbo muffler. They have a nice deep rich tone and zero backpressure. The Xlerator and Dynomax mufflers are our mufflers of choice. The Xlerators are an aluminized muffler with welded seams. They use stainless steel mesh for the muffling material. They work for both turbo and non turbo cars alike. These mufflers will fit all z's from 70-89 except for the 74 260 Z. For that year of z, there isn't enough room for an oval muffler unless you let it hang down too low. That year needs a round muffler. The 79-89 zx's came with a round muffler as did the 70-73 240's, but these ovals will work just fine on those models. All of our mufflers must be welded on. We recommend using a single chrome turn down tip on the cars from 70-78. We the zx's with a single outlet we sell a single chrome tip. On the zx's with dual outlets we sell a twice pipe tip that fills the exhaust cutout on the body just fine. See listings or call.
