| This listing is for a single lash pad. A lash pad is the puck that goes between the toe of the rocker arm and the valve stem. For 4 cylinder L engines they use 8 all total. For 6 cylinder L engines they use 12 all total. If you need a complete set of lash pads be sure to put the appropriate number in the quantity box of your order form. For this application also list the thickness you need. They are available from .200 to .300 and may still be available in sizes thicker than that but we'd have to check. This is determined by assembled valve stem height, in relation to the height or distance from there to the cam lobe, the size of the lash pad, and the size of the rocker arm. If a head is set up properly then you only use 1 size of lash pad for all the valves in the head. Be advised that not all automotive machine shops are well versed in the proper setup of L engine heads. If you can't find a shop in your area to set up your head properly, you can always send us your head and we can definently do the job. We can do both stock and high performance setups including porting and polishing. We carry all sizes from .160 (one hundred sixty thousandths) to .190 (one hundred ninety thousandths) in stock and can order many other special sizes above and below those numbers. Lash pads come in every ten thousandths from .150 and up. These lash pads will fit both the 6 cylinder L series engines and the 4 cylinder L series engines as well. Stock sizes for stock grind cams are also available and we handle those as well. See listing. We do not carry the 200 and up lash pads in stock anymore and they are a special order only item. Please allow an extra week for delivery. Be sure to list the size or sizes you need in the comment section of the order form. There is a 10.00 shipping charge for ordering lash pads that we don't carry in stock. That fee is charged to us by the manufacturer and it's a flat fee. It doesn't matter if you're ordering 1 lash pad or 50+. When you order one of our custom ground cams we'll let you know what size it takes at that time. We know what size of lash pad goes with a particular cam PROVIDING that your head is machined properly. The early 1980 720 pickup used the L series engine which has the intake mounted on the left side of the engine whereas the later version went to the Naps/z engine which has the carb on the right side.
