| The only safe way to secure your battery in these cars is with a factory battery frame. You need this particular J bolt to finish the job properly. These are 6mm J bolts with fine thread just like the original ones. We don't sell the cheezy ones that use a sloppy wing nut. Uses 1 per car on 70-78 z's, as well as the 84-89 zx's. Uses 2 per car for 79-83 zx's. The proper size battery for these cars should only be a Group 24 Interstate battery, or a SC34A Optima Battery. We recommend using only these 2 brand names of batteries on these cars. We've found certain un-named batteries to leak acid frequently for no reason, which rots our cars. This J bolt DOES NOT COME WITH A NUT. If you would like a nut and washer for the J-bolt add .75 to the total and be sure to list that in the comment section when you place the order. This listing is for a single J-bolt only and doesn't include the frame. That must be ordered separately. See listing. This is the longer J bolt of the 2 types available and it's about 13" long. We do carry the frames for all z's from 70-89 in stock most of the time, as well as the short J-bolts for the pickups and a few 4 cylinder Datsuns. See listings. Some trucks and a couple of 4 cylinder cars in the 70's and 80's use one long J-bolt and one short one, Others use 2 long ones. Please check your vehicle and order accordingly.
