| We do rebuild ignition locks for these cars in house and we have most of the parts in stock to do this. We do have rebuildable cores in stock and can change the locks to any key code that we want. If you can pull the key out with the car running then your lock is definently bad and needs an overhaul. Costs do vary and we will be adding more information as time goes on. We also rebuild door locks, and can recode and refurbish rear hatch locks as well. Call or e-mail us for more details. The posted price is for the double cut key style locks that are used from 72-83 and it does not include the core charge. The 70-71 cars originally used a single cut key but the newer style locks will fit right in. You must provide a key in good condition to meet the requirements for this price. We can recode the lock to fit just about any key code. This means that we can usually rebuild a lock to fit your existing key, or any other key code that we desire. We can have master keys cut if you provide us with a key code for an additional fee. We can also rebuild a lock assembly for less money IF we don't recode the lock to fit your key. That style will come with 2 new keys. There are 4 different types of keyways for these locks and 1 type is no longer available. For that style there will be a minor difference in the appearance of the face of the lock but it will still fit and function fine. |
