| This listing for the hatch hinge pocket boots. When you remove the rear hatch hinges from all the 70-76 coupes and look into the cavity that you pulled the hinges out of, you'll notice that there is a rubber boot that fits in there and glues in place. A lot of people don't realize that there is even a rubber boot in there. When these pocket gaskets leak, it usually leaves water right on top of your shock tower. They can also let water run right down the C pillar inside the car and it pools up inside the quarter panels. Definently not good for your z. We now sell these boots as a kit containing a left boot and a right boot. It does not include the metal plate that goes over each one, for now you must carefully remove the existing one off of your car, straighten it out and reuse it. Those metal plates may become available at a later date, watch for details. These boots glue in place using weatherstrip adhesive. We do carry the glue in stock and if you'd like some added to your order just put a note in the comment section of the order form and we'll add that to your order for you. These are temporarily a special order only item. Please allow an extra 7 to 10 days for delivery until the manufacturer catches up with the demand surge from this new item. Last update 01/12 |
