| This listing is for a single clutch kit. It includes: 1 pilot bushing, 1 throw out bearing, 1 Exedy clutch disc, and 1 Exedy pressure plate. We also recommend replacing the rear engine seal at the same time. They are very easy to replace on these cars. See listing. This clutch kit WILL NOT fit the 87-89 turbo cars. Exedy clutches are also sold under the names OP and Daikin which are all the same clutch kits. Exedy clutches are exactly what we use for the majority of clutch jobs that we do on these cars. To date we've never had a come back on any clutch job that we've done when using these clutches. Proper installation is critical when doing clutches. If the flywheel needs to be resurfaced then by all means do it. If the friction surface is ok then all you have to do is scuff the surface with a coarse sandpaper like aluminum oxide. We use a DA sander with 36 grit paper to deglaze the flywheel when we do clutches. Sterility is the next most important procedure when doing a clutch job. After the flywheel is deglazed (or turned) and has been reinstalled then you must sterilize the friction surface with a tough cleaning agent like lacquer thinner, acetone, ketone, enamel reducer, or brakleen. No other product is good enough. Be sure to sterilize the clutch disc, and pressure plate before installing as well. NEVER touch the friction surfaces with your hands or fingers after they have been sterilized. We may not always carry these clutch kits in stock but we can usually have them delivered to us the same day that we order them so availability isn't usually a problem. Last update 01/12 |
