| This kit contains enough parts for you to rebuild both carbs. Even though there are 3 different models of SU carbs for the 240's, they all use the same basic kit. It includes: 2 Nozzles, 2 Needles, 2 Needle & Seat assemblies, 2 float gaskets, 2 float bowl hoses, 2 banjo inlet screens, and a few other small assorted parts. Be advised that this kit uses 2 identical length needle/seat assemblies. Some models use a longer assembly in one carb. Our vendors have discontinued that particular assembly and we haven't found a replacement item yet. We usually modify the float to compensate for the difference in length. This is a complete carb overhaul kit that we put together ourselves. It includes everything you need EXCEPT the floats, and the insulators that go between the carb and manifold. Those must be purchased separately.
If you purchased everything in this kit separately from us it would cost you over $200.00. This kit saves you over 40.00. Pay particular attention to the condition of your throttle shafts. If they are loose then we recommend having them repaired. We don't sell a kit for that, but we do refurbish your throttle shafts. You can either send us your carbs complete and have us do a complete overhaul, or you can take your carbs apart and just send us the carb bodies with the throttle shafts still installed. We can refurbish the throttle shafts so they look brand new and factory original. After we're done they will pass even the toughest scrutiny by the most discerning judge. Last update 11/10 |
