| This is NOT an anti-lock brake system. It is an anti-skid system.
It is a purely mechanical system and is not computer controlled or electronic.
It is in use every time the brake pedal is applied regardless of the circumstances. It is a hydraulic/pneumatic system that operates from signals generated at the braking surfaces through the existing brake system. There are no adverse side effects from this system. We sold our first unit in 1992 and even use it on our own z cars. The manufacturer has been making these units since the early 80's, so they are definently tried and proven. This system can help your car stop in a straighter line and in a shorter distance during emergency braking as long as the threshold range has not been exceeded. Wheel lock up and skidding may occur at times when the threshold range has been exceeded, especially at slower speeds and on slippery surfaces.
It automatically adjusts to your cars hydraulic brake system during a brief break in period of 10 to 20 stops. This system works on any vehicle with a dual master cylinder.
