| This listing is for a new brake master cylinder for the 70-78 z's and it's made in Taiwan. It is a direct bolt on built to OEM specifications and it's significantly less expensive than the Sangyo version that we also offer. See listing. We started using these Taiwan brake masters in our shop in June of 2011 and so far we've had zero problems with them. Both models of master cylinders that we sell now come with plastic reservoir caps instead of the original metal ones. For the 70-71 240's that still have the original style brake booster, these cylinders will fit with minor modifications. You'll have to reverse the lines that hook up to the master cylinder and you'll have to modify (lengthen) the pushrod in the brake booster by welding additional metal onto the end of it. The other option is that we do offer a Tokico 70-71 brake master cylinder that is an exact duplicate to the original one and it will bolt right on without modifications. The down side is that version has a lot higher price tag. We also offer Nabco and/or Tokico brake master cylinders for the 72-78 z's but they are considerably more expensive than this listing.
