| These belts should be used with our HO alts on all z's from 74-83, or on z's with 280 and 280 zx crank pulleys in them. Our HO alts use a deep V pulley and the stock alts use a shallow V pulley. That puts a lot more stress on the spine of the belt and it will crush most belts including factory Nissan belts. These replacement belts so far have lasted a couple of years with our HO alts. In other words since we changed over to these belts we haven't seen or heard of a single one failing. When using our HO alternators you MUST keep the belt a little towards the tight side at all times. Otherwise the belt may start slipping. If it starts slipping too much, it will get overheated and ruin the belt. Last updated 04/12 |
