| This is the stock replacement plastic battery tray with drain hose. It is the original design for all z's from 70-78. It can also be used for the 79-83 zx's as well as all of the 4 cylinder cars and trucks. The original design for the zx's and the 4 cylinder vehicles isn't available anymore, but this unit will fit just fine in it's place It is critical to have a plastic tray as an insulator between the battery and the metal battery platform. It is also critical in case you have one of the less desireable batteries in your car or truck that is typical to sulphation or leaking acid. This try will contain the acid and run it down the drain hose and away from your vehicle. We do have the original used plastic trays for the 79-83 280 zx, but they are more expensive than this listing and they don't use the drain hose. Last update 12/10 |
