| This is the short shaft 5 speed transmission that came stock in the A10/510 and the early 200SX with the L20B engine. It will fit the PL510, the 520/521 pickups, and the early 620 pickup with the short shaft 4 speed as a direct bolt in. The easiest way to tell if your car has a short shaft 4 speed trans in it (besides measuring the length) is by looking at the bottom of the transmission. Only the short shaft 4 speeds have a square removeable pan on it. If you have that type of 4 speed in your car or truck then this 5 speed will be a direct replacement. This transmission does come with the shift tower which you will need. No exchange needed, and this is the only trans that we have of this style. This is known as a dogleg shifter or ralleye shift pattern trans because reverse is to the left and forward. This transmissions is great for autocrossing. |
