| This listing is for a single mechanical fuel pump and 2 fuel pump gaskets. It is to be used only for carburated vehicles. The stock mechanical fuel pump is bolted to the front right side of the head, just in front of #1 spark plug. This fuel pump is the best design on the market for these cars, it is made by the same company that made them for Nissan. There is an insulator block that is supposed to go between the fuel pump and the head that is critical to use. If yours is cracked or broken be sure to replace it, it is not included in this package. See listing. There is another brand of fuel pump on the market for these cars that we consider inferior and is not a good design. We cannot name that brand but we can tell you what to look for. The original fuel pumps and the ones we sell as well have a series of phillips screws holding the pump together. The body consists of 3 parts that are all screwed together. If your fuel pump doesn't look like that, (see pic) then we recommend getting rid of it before it leaves you stranded or causes damage to your engine. If the pump on your z doesn't look like the one in the pic then you have the bad design. If we happen to be out of stock, it usually only takes us a day or two to get more. Last update 12/11 |
