| This listing is for the main door gasket on the left hand side on all 74-75 2+2's that have a production date from 9/73 to 6/75. The production date is on the upper right corner of the silver tag on the left B pillar . We also stock most of the other gaskets for your 2+2 z car. See listings. These gaskets are a snap to install. We recommend keeping your body gaskets treated with Sil-glyde. That will keep them soft, make the doors close easier, and will even prevent your doors from freezing to the gaskets in the wintertime. See listing. When you purchase these gaskets from us, we include easy to understand installation instructions. These are typed up by us and are not the tyical generic instructions that we've all seen in the past. Some things to check when installing our gaskets. Make sure that the door is centered properly in the door opening. Make sure that your striker is adjusted properly. Make sure that your hinges are in good repair. Make sure that the door panel doesn't interfere with the weatherstripping. Most importantly, make sure that your latch mechanism is properly lubed. The roller wheel on the 70-76 cars should be lubed once a year if the car is used regularly and/or parked outside. We recommend using Zep 45 for lube. Do not use spray grease, that will make things worse. On the 77-78 cars you need to stick a wand up inside the door latch and give it a squirt periodically. If we happen to be out of stock on these gaskets, rest assured that we have more on order. Last update 04-11 |
